I lost my gig SXSW 2020

SXSW 2020 was supposed to start today. I was going to be apart of the official SXSW Photo crew. Then a few days before the festival it was canceled due to coronavirus concerns. This was hard for many people in the Austin area. 

My heart goes out to all musicians, emcees, brand ambassadors, event coordinators, event managers, bartenders, small business owners, caterers, servers, photographers..etc.

So I am writing this blog post not asking to help me out but to help out local creatives and members of the service industry impacted by the cancellation of SXSW by donating (if you're able) to the Austin Community Foundation or to anyone listed on I Lost My Gig, who have all been verified.

 ILostMyGig.com is tracking submissions by creative professionals and service industry workers that details income lost by the SXSW cancellation. If you have a quick second please read through their stories and make a donation, I urge you to spend time doing so.  

Entries include ways to support them through Venmo and Paypal handles. Give directly to them or hire them for a future event - photographers, DJs, set-builders, makers galore.
